The Future
In the future
She will step out of darkness
Out of chaos, uncertainty
The limitless vacuum of confusion!
Angst! Drama!
She will succeed!
And emerge from the insane black hole
Known as high school.

All The Things She Said
Do you remember when we were younger? Where, in my kitchen, I would stand on a chair in order to turn on the antique radio, and we would dance to All the Things She Said. We danced like children do, freely and unshy, uncaring about how we looked or who saw. This was before I knew all the English words, let alone the Russian ones. But I know them now. I know a lot more now. You too, I hope.

Before, I danced because the song was upbeat and catchy. I still dance for that now, but also because I understand the meaning of the words, and the confusion and longing embedded in them. When we were young, I didn’t understand or care about that. I do and I don’t miss that. But maybe, just once more, could we turn on the radio and dance to All the Things She Said like we used to? Without confines, understanding, just a void of all the things she said…

On Photography
I like how taking pictures makes me feel like I’m capturing time. As my prisoner. Hahaha.

I choose to photograph shadows, windows and people because I see things in them. LOL.

About the Artist
Wes Denton lives in a town with her friends (both visible and non). She enjoys taking pictures, writing, reading, and being loud enough so they can hear her in Toronto. She is also working on a novel that constantly irritates her. Wes is only one of the many names she goes by.
